As Product Design Manager, you'll lead product design across our digital products, combining hands-on design expertise with people leadership to shape intuitive, accessible and customer-centred experiences. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you'll guide design from discovery and research through to launch and continuous improvement, helping us deliver products that make a real difference to our customers, including the journeys that help new customers discover, join and engage with NewDay.




What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and develop a team of Product Designers, creating an environment where colleagues can grow, learn and perform at their best.


• Shape customer experiences across our digital products, ensuring solutions are intuitive, accessible and grounded in user needs.


• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Business Development teams to turn customer insight and business goals into practical design solutions.


• Oversee the end-to-end design process, from discovery, research and ideation through to prototyping, validation and delivery.


• Raise the quality and consistency of design across products, journeys and customer touchpoints, helping teams create experiences that are clear, engaging and easy to use.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience in Product Design, UX and UI Design within digital product environments.


• Experience designing customer acquisition and onboarding journeys that make it easy for customers to get started.


• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop Product Designers while maintaining high standards of design craft.


• Experience conducting and applying user research, usability testing and customer insight to influence product decisions.


• Confidence explaining design decisions, challenging constructively and influencing direction through insight and evidence.

We'd Love You To Know Or Learn

• Experience optimising customer onboarding journeys, reducing drop-off and improving conversion through design-led solutions.


• Understanding of customer acquisition funnels and the role design plays in helping customers successfully move from discovery through to onboarding and engagement.


• Experience supporting new client pitch work and business development opportunities.


• Experience working within a regulated environment such as financial services.


• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, UserZoom and Jira, along with accessibility standards including WCAG.
