Within Aviva London, Defining the strategic direction of reporting and insight for the risk related information across their IT function.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the IT and Data Operations team. You will lead development of global IT, security risk & controls insight and reporting.

This role will require you to define the strategic direction of reporting and insight for the risk related information across the IT function.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will lead on the production of global IT risk reporting & insight. This will include defining requirements, agreement of MI sources, and drafting of actionable commentary and insight.
  • This role will require you to work closely with all Chief Information Officer (CIO) facing IT risk managers to obtain different perspectives.
  • You will be responsible for reporting and insight deliverable's are up to board level specific requirements may also be requested by the Chief Operations & IT Officer.
  • You will collaborate on facilitation of the TDRA (top down risk assessment process) and manage the group IT emerging risk profile.
  • You will provide independent Risk oversight and challenge of the global IT and Security functions as bandwidth allows and in line with team requirements
  • You will work across strategic – implementation of framework to support the exclusive operation of ORCM.
  • Operational delivery of risk insights to enable decision-making.
  • We will require you to work with risk management and governance to a group-wide focus on operational risk exposure and effective first line management of risk and control.
  • You will show support functions and business units to minimise profit and losses on the impact of IT and Security operational risk.

 

Skills & Experience required:

  • You will have thorough understanding of effective operational risk management and the ORCM framework, awareness of IT & security governance models and standards e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and succinct, clear communicator and focused.
  • We will need you to have strong written communication skills and the ability to collate and summarise information.
  • Excellent influencing style with senior management as well as all levels within the business.
  • You'll have a creative and open to new ideas.
  • Hands-on approach.
  • Deep understanding of effective operational risk management.
  • Framework, awareness of IT & security governance models and standards.
  • As a business we will need you to be experienced at producing board level reporting in financials services.
  • Experienced at working at a group level and in an international context.
  • Experienced leading global teams and working towards cross-market deliverable's.
  • We will require you to be experienced at dealing with senior management.
  • We will need you to be experienced at leading and delivering cultural change.
