As a Senior Manager in the Institutional Banking & Markets Audit team, you will be responsible for auditing the Institutional Banking and Markets business.
Overview:
- Overseeing and delivering a professional and highly valued audit service to the business and Group’s Audit & Risk Committees
- Executing Group Audit's risk culture assessment methodology thereby allowing Group Audit to provide additional high valued insights to management and the Board, which will help to secure and enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers and communities
Responsibilities:
- In line with the Bank's Internal Audit Methodology oversee effective and efficient planning and delivery of auditing IB&M within the Bank through assisting in building a dynamic, risk-based Audit Plan and to appropriately capture key and emerging risks
- Effectively support, supervise, and deliver assigned scope areas of the audit from Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting, and through to audit closure including administration of key audit stage-gates in the audit electronic workflow system
- Solve problems by applying innovative thinking and actively participate in processes to capture and act on innovative ideas, which improve the way we work
- Draft issues and agree factual accuracy and ratings with the Team Leader and the stakeholders, as well support the Executive Manager in preparing simple, pragmatic, and easy to read audit reporting, including audit reports and issue logs
- Create and develop independent and objective relationships within the Audit function, the bank, and externally to enable effective knowledge sharing and collaboration
To be successful, you will possess:
- Strong experience in a Risk, Business, or Internal Audit role covering Institutional Banking or Market functions. Applicants with strong Business experience or External Audit in these areas will also be considered
- Sound knowledge of all Operational and Regulatory risks associated with these businesses is required and must be adaptable to suit the work confronting them
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence work cross-functionally, navigating ambiguity while managing multiple audit engagements or priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting accountability of the process and delivering on commitments
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and senior stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence senior management Knowledge of, and experience in, internal/external audit and risk management (desirable)
- Relevant internationally recognised auditing or professional accounting qualifications
