Senior Portfolio Manager - Global Equities (Based in Sydney or Melbourne)

About the role
The Senior Portfolio Manager is part of the Global Quality Equities (GQE) team, which currently manages >AUD 4b (long-only funds). The Team takes a long-term approach to investing, with a focus on identifying high quality businesses.

In this newly created role your main responsibilities will be undertaking global company and sector research, ideally in healthcare, as well as contributing to stock selection decisions and portfolio construction. The role will require thorough bottom-up research and analysis, including detailed financial modelling and company valuations for investment opportunities being considered. It will also involve idea generation and ongoing assessment and review of existing positions.

It is expected that this senior member of the team will share their expertise and knowledge with colleagues, and support the ongoing growth and professional development of the team.

Successful candidates will have significant sector coverage experience, with a strong preference for healthcare related investing expertise. Demonstrated portfolio construction and management experience is essential, with proven success (anticipating 10-15+ years) of relevant buy side experience, with a focus on long-term quality investing and portfolio management including “bottom up” company research analyses and stock selection in global equities.

You are a self-motivated collaborative person with a high degree of curiosity, capable of absorbing and processing substantial amounts of information, and who takes pride in delivering quality investment outcomes.
