We are looking for an experienced Solution Designer wanting to join the pooled fund team to help evolve investment strategies for both current and prospective clients as well as developing new products, services and investment ideas to meet future needs.
The team have responsibility for c150 solution clients invested in pooled funds and have a steady stream of new business opportunities. The candidate should have a good understanding of LDI to be able to partner with clients and consultants.
Once onboard, the candidate should be confident in being able to lead discussions and meetings with current and potential new clients as well as representing Insight’s pooled capabilities in consultant research meetings.
The candidate will work closely with a team of 4 LDI portfolio managers, 4 client directors, 1 other solution designer and Joanna Howley who manages the team. A team of 7 client service associates also help deal with day to day queries from clients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Understand Insight products and strategies and how these can be tailored to clients
- Leading discussions with clients and consultants to develop investment solutions
- Attending client meetings with client directors to represent the LDI investment team
- Representing Insight pooled fund products and strategies in consultant research meetings
- Leading the solution design for new business proposals and leading those discussions in pitches
- Assisting client directors on a daily basis to respond to ad hoc client queries
- Liaising with fund managers to develop appropriate portfolio management strategies and confirming finder details of client solutions / transitions
- Working with other members of the team on strategic pieces of work ranging from business management to new fund design and launch
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
- Experience within Investment Management and Investment Solution teams
- Actuarial/Consultancy background desirable
- Technical proficiency / understanding of ALM modelling and analysis
- Excellent team player with the ability to work independently when required
- Inquisitive with a keen interest in learning new skills
- Customer focused outlook
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good presentation style, an effective communicator who can present well in client pitches
