A leading global financial institution is looking to appoint an experienced Insurance Coverage banker to join its growing Corporate & Investment Banking business in London.

This is an opportunity to join a developing UK insurance franchise at an important stage of its growth. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to help expand the platform, deepen relationships across the UK insurance market and support clients across a broad range of banking products and solutions.

Unlike a traditional coverage position within a fully established team, this role offers the opportunity to take genuine ownership and play an active part in shaping the future development of the franchise.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing relationships with insurance clients across the UK market
• Supporting the continued build-out of the firm's Insurance Coverage franchise
• Identifying and originating new opportunities across corporate and investment banking products
• Remaining actively involved in transaction execution, taking opportunities from initial client discussions through internal processes and delivery
• Working alongside product partners to structure appropriate financing and banking solutions for clients
• Developing new and existing client relationships while identifying opportunities to broaden the firm's wallet share
• Contributing to the wider strategy and growth of the insurance business in London
• Working with junior colleagues while maintaining significant hands-on responsibility

The team is deliberately keeping the search relatively flexible and is interested in candidates from Senior Associate through to Vice President level.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Experience within Insurance, FIG or a closely related financial institutions coverage team
• Meaningful exposure to the insurance sector, although candidates do not necessarily need to have spent their entire career exclusively covering insurance
• Strong experience executing corporate banking, financing or investment banking transactions
• The ability to manage relationships while remaining comfortable with hands-on execution
• An understanding of how to navigate internal stakeholders and coordinate different product groups around client opportunities
• A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with an interest in helping build rather than simply inherit a franchise
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
• A genuine interest in developing deeper expertise across the insurance sector
