If you're creative, want to be empowered to make decisions and challenge the norm, and want to bring BIG ideas to a MASSIVE digital challenge then you'll love it here. And we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a talented Product Owner with experience of creating great places for talented people to work. You will join our growing community and become a key part of one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world.
Using fresh ideas and leading edge technologies - and putting the user at the centre of everything we do - we create innovative digital solutions that make a difference to the lives of our 22 million users.
You'll have a unique and challenging role owning and managing the quality of our digital spaces, and ensuring that the UK's best tech talent continues to arrive and thrive in our six nationwide hubs.
You and your role
You will bring people in our hubs together, and give them the tools and spaces they need to excel. So you'll need to be a collaborative leader with great people skills and an understanding of how corporate estates and facilities work.
We're in the middle of a huge recruitment drive so new people are joining our community all the time. You will be responsible for creating a great first impression.
We want all our people to enjoy their time at work, to work in a way that suits them, and to have everything they need to be their best.
You will become the face of Digital Spaces, with a remit for innovation and culture change. You will know how to get the best out of our spaces and our people by changing behaviour and forming new and flexible ways of working. You have the authority and autonomy to be a real agent of change, on your own terms and with your own vision for how things should look and feel in our hubs.
Working towards the development of a palpable product and liaising with different stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
- You have lots of leadership experience; you're comfortable working at a senior level.
- Experience in real estate and property management (key aspect of the role).
- You have the property management experience required to ensure that our hubs are being used to their full potential.
- You understand flexible and new ways of working and know how to drive adoption of these.
- You are a strong communicator, with the ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups to bring about culture change.
- You will have a strong business mind-set which would desirably be combined with FM/Office management experience.
- You'll have experience delivering culture and behaviour change programmes.
Where You'll Work
You'll join our brilliant Digital Spaces Team in one of our easy-to-reach digital hubs in Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds, or Blackpool.
It's our job to make sure all of our hubs are the best they can be and that they meet the changing needs of our teams. We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture designed to help our agile, multidisciplinary teams think big and try new things.
In MAnchester we have the best of the city on our doorstep with loads of places nearby to get lunch or to stop for a team socal. We look out over St Peter's Square with great views of Central Library and the town hall so we're dead handy for tram or train.
DWP is the UK's biggest government department with over 80,000 diverse and brilliant people on our team. You will work alongside people who care passionately about public service, making a difference and delivering for our customers.
We are an equal opportunity employer and we welcome applications regardless of age, gender, race or sexuality.
