Description Director, Derivatives Pricing, Incentives and Analytics Job Objective The Director will drive development and execution of CME Group's pricing strategy, with a focus on promoting derivatives market structure health and advancing CME Group's growth initiatives. The Director will be responsible for providing thought leadership, analytical insight and opportunity identification into market structure trends, client motives and behavior and potential pricing actions, incentives and market-making programs that drive CME Group's revenue growth.
Job Description - Drive in partnership with business leaders of derivatives markets and services the pricing and the development, design, performance, management and review of supporting growth incentives and market-making programs
- Design, direct and execute analysis of market and client activity for diagnosing specific market issues and growth opportunities and for identifying, designing and assessing potential incentive programs to address the identified business problems and opportunities
- Lead and drive development of incentive programs, market-making programs and other pricing initiatives reflecting broad industry shifts, product strategies, market conditions and customers.
- Identify and measure metrics to assess program performance and motivate participant behavior and the tools that track these metrics to measure incentive program success, and the resulting impacts on market health
- Oversee the operational approval, set up of performance management reporting, tracking and review for multiple derivatives markets, working with stakeholders in Financials, Commodities, Technology, Clearing, Legal, Market Reg, and Finance
- Develop and maintain enterprise revenue and market health analysis tools, synthesizing the results for business leaders. Define and execute complex analysis of business problems and market structure, frequently involving large data sets and statistical/mathematical analysis, particularly for managing the health of CME Group Derivatives markets and assessing markets, liquidity, market trends, pricing and incentives.
- Track and synthesize industry and ecosystem competition and evolution including shifts in technology, new business offerings, regulatory changes, changes in execution models and other overarching factors that may affect CME Group markets and business
- Direct and develop direct reports
QUALIFICATION - B.A. or B.S. or higher required, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Business
- 3-5+ years of work experience. Experience in pricing of products and services, trading, derivatives and competitive market analysis are pluses.
- Excellent analytical skills paired with business pragmatism are required to lead cross-department analysis, risk and and opportunity assessment, and development. Experience analyzing, summarizing and building business recommendations from large data sets leveraging data mining, statistical modeling tools (e.g., R) and underlying algorithms; an understanding of programming languages (Python, SQL) is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas and market and pricing analysis simply and compellingly to senior management and the ability to skillfully build and manage relationships internally and externally
