We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.

What will you be doing?
• Being responsible for the Consolidation system (Hyperion) and the Consolidation function of Barclays’ US legal entities under US GAAP
• Overseeing the monthly consolidation process with the ability to figure out the need to post Consolidation and/or correct entries
• Supporting the maintenance of the Consolidation system and logic, escalating issues to IT and management and resolution in a timely manner
• Performing variance analysis and providing commentary on financial results for senior management
• Liaising with financial and product controllers in understanding how transactions impact consolidated and the parent company
• Assisting in the maintenance and review of the US Chart of Accounts
• Supervising and providing guidance to Analyst on the Consolidation process
• Acting as the principal contact for Tax, Treasury, Business Planning & Analysis, Product Control and Regulatory Teams on financial results
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least four years of accounting/financial reporting experience in the Financial Services industry with knowledge, understanding, and application of US GAAP
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
