Fund Accounting Manager

Robert Half Financial Services is recruiting for a Fund Accounting Manager role for a growing Private Equity investment firm located in midtown Manhattan, New York. Our client requires 5 to 10+ years of Fund Accounting experience at an investment firm, fund administrator or public accounting firm focusing on funds. CPA qualification is highly desirable along with knowledge of Private Equity, NAV calculations, financial statements, investor reporting, and regulatory filings. This role is onsite requiring 5 days per week in the midtown Manhattan New York office.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Fund Administrator to deliver services pursuant to administration agreements in respect of existing and new funds
• Oversight of calculations of net asset values (NAV) on a variety of complex funds
• Ensure NAV calculations, financial statements, and associated reports, are delivered by agreed deadlines
• Review work performed by the Fund Administrator and conduct any required shadow accounting
• Work with Fund Administrator and internal departments to manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables within agreed SLAs
• Monitor timely delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables for investor reporting and internal reporting requirements
• Escalate all material issues effecting the NAV process to the CFO in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain relationships with investors, investment advisors/managers, banks, brokers and auditors and other key fund stakeholders
• Be the first escalation point for queries
• Support the CFO with Year End process with respect to audit timelines, Financial Statement Preparation, Regulatory filings, Tax services etc.
• Be involved in special projects as needed

Requirements:

• 5 to 10+ years of Fund Accounting experience at an investment firm, fund administrator or public accounting firm focusing on funds
• Knowledge of Private Equity, NAV calculations, financial statements, investor reporting, and regulatory filings
• CPA qualification is highly desirable
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject
