A top financial client  is seeking a Risk Analyst to join the Capital Stress Testing / Asset Liability Management team in either Pittsburgh, PA or NYC. This team supports the front office and its purpose is to evaluate, quantify, and mitigate the risk for certain investments through QRM reporting, CCAR testing, and forecasting of balances for different products on the balance sheet (investment portfolios, loan portfolios, etc.) A solid understanding of balance sheet management is required for this role. The main day-to-day responsibilities of this person will be to obtain forecasted data from other teams, input the data into QRM, test and report the data and analyze the results and see if they make sense. If any problems arise from what the data is generating, they will be responsible to understand where the problem is coming from and how it can be fixed. Once documentation is taken and the results are logged, this team is responsible for presenting the information to senior management. This team will also work on CCAR Stress Testing to evaluate risk by running the balance sheet under different scenarios provided to them by the Fed in order to make sure they can sustain any financial losses.  This is a hybrid position (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and vaccination is required.

Must-haves:

5-7 years of experience with financial risk modeling platform/software (PolyPath, BankWare, etc.)  OR 3+ years specifically working in Quantitative Risk Management (QRM)
Experience with CCAR stress testing, interest rate risk management, liquidity stress testing, liquidity risk management, OR asset-liability management (ALM)
Solid understanding of the balance sheet and how it works
Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Strong communication and able to collaborate with many teams throughout Treasury
Ability to handle mass quantities of data sourcing, reporting, and documentation

Plusses:

Master’s, MBA, CFA, or CPA/CA
Knowledge of VBA and SQL
