Overview SEC Reporting Group is responsible for completeness and accuracy of the reports required by the Securities and Exchange Commission, including quarterly earnings releases, Form 10-Qs, the Annual Report filed on Form 10-K. In this position, the successful candidate will coordinate closely with the other members of the SEC Reporting Group to prepare and audit work papers supporting the consolidated financial statements, notes and management's discussion and analysis, as well as review and update the XBRL requirements for the quarterly and annual reports. The SEC Reporting group is also responsible for employee benefit plan reporting.
Key responsibilities include the following: - Preparation of quarterly reports (Form 10-Q), annual reports (Form 10-K) and current reports (Form 8-K) with the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Knowledge of the financial reporting process and effective internal controls
- Assist with the preparation and review of iXBRL
- Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting
- Regular interactions with others in the Controllers, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Legal groups, as well as our external auditors
- Monitor publications from accounting firms, the SEC and other sources to stay up to date on changes to accounting and disclosure guidance
- Review peer financial disclosures, as needed
- Prepare annual reports for employee benefit plans (Form 11-K) financial statements filed with the SEC and Department of Labor and review of the Form 5500
Qualifications
A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5-7 years relevant experience; public accounting experience is a plus
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC Rules and Regulations
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication; detail oriented; ability to work in fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiar with Workiva software
