As part of a team that challenges convention and strives for outperformance, you'll help shape bold solutions for clients who expect something more than the ordinary.
About the team:
The Bank Funding Group is responsible for raising, managing and optimising the funding required to support Investec Bank plc's balance sheet and lending activities. It brings together deposit gathering, funding strategy, treasury, liquidity management and related change programmes within one function.
Within the Bank Funding Group, the Client Group Funding dealing team provides proactive cash management services to partner platforms and corporate and institutional clients. The team works collaboratively across the bank to deliver its funding requirements through a range of funding channels.
What will I be doing?
- Support the delivery of Investec's funding requirements through the Bank Funding Group's various funding channels.
- Support partnership and corporate relationships, helping to provide a responsive and high-quality service.

- Work closely with Bank Funding and Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Settlements, Client Service and Trade Support.
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimise processes across the Bank Funding Group.
- Apply an inquisitive and analytical approach to tasks, processes and problem-solving.
- Build knowledge and competence across the Bank Funding Group's front-end systems, including Calypso, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power BI.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, control and integrity in all day-to-day activity.
What do I need to bring?
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate our proposition to external clients and build strong internal stakeholder relationships.
- A determined and collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to work independently when required.
- Strong analytical and numerical capability, with an inquisitive mindset and excellent attention to detail.
- An interest in using AI and technology to improve efficiency across tasks and processes.
- Good PC literacy and the willingness to build a detailed understanding of the bank's systems.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
- A commitment to acting with integrity, embracing Consumer Duty principles, treating customers fairly and applying relevant regulatory requirements.
- The CISI Regulations and Derivatives examinations, or the willingness and ability to complete the required qualifications. This is a Certified Person role and requires an FCA qualification.
I am good at:
- Learning quickly and taking ownership of my development.
- Working accurately across trade booking, reconciliations, administration and product-related activity.
- Building effective relationships with clients, colleagues and control functions.
- Questioning existing ways of working and constructively challenging ideas with well-considered reasoning.
- Using data, systems, automation and AI to simplify processes and improve outcomes.
- Balancing a strong team ethic with the ability to progress work independently.
- Showing entrepreneurial spirit and a genuine appetite to understand the bank, its culture, its clients, its services and the wider funding ecosystem.
- Broadening my qualifications and developing new skills.
