We are seeking a Risk Manager to support the assessment of financial crime risks within a legal entity operating insurance, pensions, and related products. The role will focus on understanding business-specific financial crime risks, typologies, and control frameworks, providing recommendations to strengthen the overall control environment and implement effective monitoring capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assess financial crime risks and existing controls, identifying gaps and improvements.
Conduct thematic risk assessments across products, entities, and financial crime typologies.
Design and enhance financial crime controls, including transaction monitoring.
Lead delivery of strategic financial crime initiatives and manage key milestones.
Develop practical methodologies, frameworks, and risk assessment approaches.
Engage senior stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Risk, and business teams.
Translate complex financial crime risks into clear, actionable recommendations.
Required Experience
Strong financial crime compliance, risk, and control experience.
Experience across risk assessments, control reviews, and transaction monitoring.
Proven experience designing and implementing financial crime controls.
Strong programme leadership and stakeholder management experience.
Ability to work independently in complex, regulated environments.
Desirable Experience
Insurance, pensions, or wider non-banking financial services experience.
Enterprise-wide or thematic financial crime risk assessment experience.
Experience developing new methodologies and frameworks.
Strong senior-level communication and presentation skills.
