Vice President, Strategy, Operations, and Partnerships - Security & Resiliency Initiative (SRI)

Job Description

Job Summary

As a Vice President within the Security & Resiliency Initiative (SRI), you will support SRI's Chief Operating Officer (COO) in executing JPMorgan Chase's $1.5 trillion, 10-year effort to strengthen economic security, industrial competitiveness, and resilience across the United States, allied nations, and key trading partners.

In this role, you will help build and scale the operating, partnership, and policy infrastructure required to advance SRI's objectives globally. Working across JPMorgan businesses, functions, and regions, as well as with governments, companies, investors, universities, and industry organizations, you will help accelerate investment, innovation, workforce development, and resilient supply chains across critical industries.

The role combines strategy, operations, public-private partnership development, higher education engagement, policy development, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will help mobilize capital, advance innovation and technology commercialization, strengthen workforce pipelines, develop policy recommendations, and foster collaboration among public and private sector stakeholders.

SRI Strategy, Governance & Operating Model

  • Support the COO in evolving SRI's global operating model and coordinating execution across lines of business, functions, and regions.

  • Translate strategic priorities into business plans, governance frameworks, and execution roadmaps.

  • Monitor initiative performance and provide senior management with updates on progress, risks, opportunities, and key decisions.

  • Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Government Relations, and other partners to ensure effective execution and governance.

Public-Private Partnerships & Ecosystem Development

  • Develop relationships with government, economic development, industry, and nonprofit stakeholders across the U.S. and internationally.

  • Design and support public-private partnership models that align capital, policy, workforce, and ecosystem resources to advance SRI objectives.

  • Partner with state and local governments to identify and support companies, technologies, and projects that strengthen regional competitiveness, innovation, and supply chain resilience.

  • Lead strategic initiatives and convenings that bring together leaders from government, industry, academia, and finance.

Higher Education, Workforce & Innovation

  • Lead engagement with universities, research institutions, community colleges, and workforce organizations.

  • Develop initiatives that accelerate applied research commercialization, emerging technology adoption, and workforce development in strategically important sectors.

  • Support SRI's higher education networks, advisory councils, and partnerships that connect academia, industry, government, and investors.

Policy Development & Strategic Initiatives

  • Support SRI's Policy Steering Committee in developing policy positions and identifying reforms that strengthen competitiveness, innovation, workforce development, and resilience across SRI priority sectors.

  • Partner with Government Relations and the Center for Geopolitics to develop policy recommendations, thought leadership, and advocacy priorities.

  • Analyze market, policy, geopolitical, and technological trends and develop recommendations regarding new initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities.

  • Translate lessons from SRI initiatives and stakeholder engagement into actionable policy and strategic recommendations.

Executive Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare materials for senior management, advisory boards, government leaders, clients, and external stakeholders.

  • Support internal and external communications related to SRI priorities and initiatives.

  • Coordinate SRI advisory boards and represent SRI in meetings with clients, partners, policymakers, academic institutions, and industry organizations.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, public policy, economics, engineering, international affairs, finance, or a related discipline preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate and investment banking or financial services strategy required.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, perform rigorous analysis, and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience working with senior executives and stakeholders across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

  • Strong project management skills and experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing executive-level presentations and briefing materials.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, including strategic assessment, business case development, and financial analysis.

  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Proven ability to build partnerships and influence stakeholders across organizational and sector boundaries.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
