About the Role



The Attorney Support PROS Assistant - Liaison is an integral part of Latham's Attorney Support team. This role will be responsible for developing the skills and knowledge required to provide comprehensive administrative support to lawyers across the firm. Working closely with a seasoned PROS Specialist, the assistant may support a designated group of attorneys as part of an assigned pairing or provide supplemental support by assisting a broader group of attorneys in an unassigned capacity. The assistant will partner with Attorney Support team members to complete a wide range of administrative responsibilities while building the skills needed to provide efficient, responsive support services. This role will be located in our Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. The schedule for this role is 10:30 am - 7:00 pm.




Responsibilities & Qualifications



Other key responsibilities include:





  • Providing administrative support to lawyers, including managing calendars and schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, processing time entry and expense reimbursements, and preparing, editing, and managing documents; assisting lawyers and team members with administrative tasks based on business and client needs

  • Assisting with a variety of local, global, and department-wide administrative requests while delivering high-quality service and timely support

  • Learning and applying firm systems, tools, and processes to effectively manage requests and identify efficient solutions

  • Utilizing the firm's real-time work ticketing system, ServiceNow, to coordinate, prioritize, and complete support requests

  • Generating, editing, and processing client invoices and assisting with billing-related responsibilities, as needed

  • Developing professional knowledge and skills through hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship from Attorney Support team members

  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers

  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and colleagues across the firm

  • Display a strong client-service mindset and the ability to build positive working relationships while delivering responsive, high-quality administrative support

  • Take initiative and work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment

  • Apply strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Adapt, identify solutions, and continuously develop new skills in technology, systems, and processes

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion



And have:





  • A high school diploma or equivalent

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably

  • Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment, preferably

Pay Range



USD $60,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
