Apologies as teenage daughter dances on corporate Instagram account

As companies everywhere take to social media to express their solidarity with clients and employees during the virus and its lockdowns, an example has emerged of the importance of making sure that unwelcome parties can't intrude upon the corporate message.

Legal website Roll on Friday came upon the following live update on the Instagram account of UK law firm Simmons & Simmons. The one minute video shows the young teenage (or maybe nearly teenage) daughter of an employee gyrating to UK grime artist Wiley on the family trampoline with the washing in the background. As the video progresses, it slowly dawns upon the parents that she has the wrong phone and is likely performing on the company channel.

Simmons & Simmons didn't respond to Roll on Friday's request to comment, and it has yet to respond to our similar query.

However, the company posted the following update on its Instagram channel this morning and said, "Sorry about the dancing child live post this week. Obviously not meant for our corporate account. The reality of working from home with kids around is posing a whole new world of challenges!" You have been warned.
