Top UBS banker resurfaces at Standard Chartered in Singapore

Shiva Natarajan, a former senior private banker at UBS, has resurfaced at Standard Chartered in Singapore.

He joined Stan Chart earlier this month as an executive director and relationship manager, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Natarajan had been with UBS since 2014, with responsibility for developing and managing NRI (non-resident Indian) wealth management, covering Thailand, Singapore and other Asian markets.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, Natarajan also worked for firms including Barclays and ICICI Bank.

As we recently reported, private banks in Singapore are still hiring senior rainmakers, even as the final quarter of the year approaches and relationship managers become harder to hire as they look to lock-in bonuses.

NRI bankers like Natarajan have always been in high demand in Singapore, although mainland China coverage is the new hot spot for hiring as Chinese money pours into the city state.
