SocGen's new ex-JPMorgan tech MD is relocating from London to Paris
Not every technologist who leaves investment banking stays gone. Brent Bottoms left JPMorgan after 13 years to become an executive on the buy-side, but now he’s returning with a different bank.

Bottoms has joined SocGen as global head of cross risk metrics within its global banking technology and operations team. He spent the last four years at AXA Investment Managers, as its CTO for the UK, US and APAC. The change in roles also sees him relocate from the UK to Paris.
Bottoms' 13 years at JPMorgan saw him hold a number of roles. He was global head of risk/PNL technology in rates trading technology, and global program manager for non-linear trading technology.
Bottoms has been working in banking technology since 1987, with stints at RBC and Bank of America lasting seven and six years respectively. At the latter he was global head of program trading technology.
